NPM 11 Beta 1 Now Available

As unbelievable as it seems, with NPM 10.7 so recently out the door, we have a beta available for the shiny new NPM 11.

NPM 11 introduces one of the singularly largest features we've had in a while with our new "Quality of Experience" Dashboard:

NPM 11 has the integrated capability to capture and analyze wire data from either a dedicated interface (SPAN / tap / etc) or agent installed on a server endpoint. Based on the captured data, we're then able to determine Application Response Time (ART) and Network Response Time (NRT) of observed transactions. Based on these two metrics, you can quickly and easily determine whether it's a network issue, or whether you need to wake the server/app team up. Custom thresholds can be configured per application to assist in alert tuning. Collect data from multiple locations and determine whether performance issues are isolated to a particular site, or if it's a systemic issue. Perhaps there is a load-balancer in the data-path that is having session stickiness issues? Find out which server is getting overloaded before the phone rings.

In addition to response time metrics, we're able to classify applications by Risk / Category / Usage for ~1,300 applications out of the box. Custom web-applications in-house? No problem- create your own application definition:

This is an early beta, but initial performance is looking great (~1Gb/s per interface.) We're very excited to see your results and get your feedback on the new features.
